The Nurmahal police have booked a villager for attempting to encroach on agricultural land
Investigating Officer (IO) Gurnam Singh said that the accused has been identified as Yadwindar Singh, a resident of Kot Badal Khan village.Cornel Sardool Singh, a resident of Friends Colony, Jalandhar, complained to the police that the accuseforcibly into his land in the village on August 19, ploughed fields and tried to encroach on it, and issued threats.
IO said a case under sections 329(3) (criminal trespass and house trespass),351(3)(criminal intimidation)and 62(attempt to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
