'Neki di Deewar’ to be dedicated at two places in Nakodar on Monday

Nakodar: In a unique initiative aimed at roping in help for the needy people to protect them from wrath of cold weather, two young IAS officers have come up with a noble project of setting ‘Neki Di Deewar’ at two places Nakodar wherein people were being encouraged to donate the things which could be used by underprivileged sections of the society.

Journalist bereaved

Nakodar: Journalist Association Nakodar president and Ajit reporter from Nakodar Gurwindar Singh’s mother Kuldeep Kaur (80) died on Sunday.  She was cremated on Sunday at her native village Dakoha. Nakodar MLA G.S Wadala and all members of association condoled the death of Kuldeep Kaur.

Construction of indoor stadium at Nakodar drags on and on

Nakodar: An indoor stadium conceived for Nakodar town about 29 years back is still incomplete.
The decision to construct an indoor stadium was taken in 1988 and work began on the land opposite the civil hospital. Thousands of rupees were spent on construction, but it could not be completed.
