The Nobelians shine at the Olympiad

JALANDHAR: The Nobel School showed excellent performance in the annual Olympiad, conducted by The Science Olympiad Foundation. In the very first attempt, The Nobelians bagged 19 medals in all. In the science Olympiad, they bagged 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. In the maths, 7 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze.

CT University & World Cancer Care to organise 2nd free medical camp on Jan 21

LUDHIANA: CT University is going to organise second Free Medical Camp with the collaboration of World Cancer Care. The event is going to be held on January 21, 2018 from 10 am till 3 pm at CT University. Under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), CTU would be reaching thousands of people from 200 villages of Punjab for the free treatment.

CBSE reschedules physical education paper for class 12 to April 13

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday shifted the date for Physical Education exam for class 12 from April 9 to April 13.

CGC Landran celebrates Army Day with great fervour

CHANDIGARH: Commemorating the glorious legacy of the Indian Army, Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran celebrated Army Day in its premises. The event sought to encourage girl students to join the elite Indian Army as also to raise funds to be contributed to Army War widows through Army Wives Welfare Association, Western Command. The students collected and contributed Rs 85,000 towards this cause.

Lohri Celebration at The Nobel

JALANDHAR: In order to make the students aware about their culture and traditions Lohri was
celebrated at The Nobel. All the students participated in it with great zeal and
enthusiasm. The students came dressed up in Punjabi outfits to the school.

​Apeejay College of Fine Arts celebrates 'Lohri'​

JALANDHAR: Student Welfare Association of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar celebrated Lohri in a unique way with the kids of an orphanage in Jalandhar.  The college spread smiles on the lovely faces of young buds living in the orphanage. The SWA of the College provided full support by distributing tracksuits, sweets, caps, peanuts etc. to the kids.  College students gave a melodious flavor to the event by singing songs for the young children and also played some fun games with them.

MGN Public School Hostel , Adarsh Nagar , Jalandhar city celebrated Lohri.

JALANDHAR: Lohri was celebrated in MGN Public School HOSTEL Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar with great enthusiasm and the warmth of the festival was enjoyed by the students of Rainbow wing, Primary, Senior Wing and the staff. The students were told about the historical importance of Lohri and they danced on the beats of the drum and Lohri songs around the bonfire. Groundnut and Reorian  were put in fire and all prayed God for everyone’s prosperity. Groundnut and Reorian were distributed among students also.

Haryana to open women's colleges at 29 places

CHANDIGARH:  The Haryana government has decided to open new government women's colleges in 29 different locations this year, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Friday.
