NEW DELHI: Great Minds in the world of Art came together to discuss the issues and challenges faced by Art Education in the face of an evolving ecosystem that is majorly influenced by technology, society and demographics.

The World University of Design (WUD) organized an intensive brainstorming seminar in collaboration with a think-tank of eminent artists, art educators, curators and industry leaders in an effort to rethink the existing education framework and move towards a futuristic and contemporary understanding of the art education.

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of NEET (The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) 2019 that was held on May 5th, 2019. Aakash Digital students performed exceedingly well with S Mageswari from Hyderabad bagging AIR 30 (SC). She was a student of Aakash Live two-year NEET course.

Cabinet approves Punjab Sports University Ordinance 2019

The Punjab Cabinet on Thursday approved the ‘Punjab Sports University Ordinance 2019’, paving the way for the establishment of the university in Patiala.

A Cabinet Memorandum to this effect was presented by the Sports and Youth Services department for the consideration of Cabinet, which met here under the chairmanship of Captain Amarinder Singh.

With the sole aim of making Punjab a sporting power, the proposed institution would focus on education, training and research in areas related to sports based on high standard infrastructure, besides offering professional and academic leadership to other institutions in the field of physical education and sports sciences.

Punjab Govt decides to merge skill development with employment generation & training dept. Cabinet approves new merged entity to enhance employability Youth

With a view to enhancing employability of youth in the state, the Punjab Cabinet has approved restructuring of the Department of Employment Generation & Training by merging the Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) in it. The newly merged entity would be renamed the Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training.

New Mohali Medical College to get 994 posts, punjab cabinet okays posts to be filled up in phased manner

The Punjab Cabinet on Thursday approved the creation of 994 posts of teaching faculty, para-medical staff & MTW (Multi-Task Workers) for the upcoming Government Medical College at Mohali, with an intake capacity of 100 MBBS seats. The Cabinet, which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, took the decision, which would pave the way for the commencement of academic sessions at the college from 2020-21. The creation of the posts was in conformity with the minimum requirements laid down by the Medical Council of India for ‘100 MBBS seats’.
