The Cooperation Department has decided to get the employees working in the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) insured on certain conditions on the pattern of the employees of the Co-operation Department. Earlier all the officials of cooperative institutions had insured their employees for one year to the tune of Rs. 25 lakh at their level. This was disclosed by Cooperation Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa in a press communiqué released here today.

Need to scale down domestic flights to contain COVID-19: Health Minister

In order to contain the spread of COVID-19 in state as Punjab has registered only 2.8 percent positive cases among 72,468 samples, Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu said that there is need to reduce the domestic flights especially from Mumbai and Ahmedabad where higher numbers of COVID-19 cases have been reported.
