Villager arrested for brewing illicit liquor

Nakodar: The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a villager for brewing illicit country-made liquor. Uggi police post-in-charge and investigating Officer HarpalSingh said that20 kg lahann (raw liquor) and 5 bottles of hooch and utensils for brewing were seized from the accused, identified as Paramjit Singh alias Pamma a    resident of Fateh Pur village.   A case under Sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.

Two women among five booked for assault, rioting

Nurmahal: The Bilga police have booked five persons including two women on the charge of assaulting a man, house trespass and rioting. The investigating officer (IO) Dilbag Singh said the accused have been identified as Prem Pala resident of Pharwala village, his wife, Laddu and Sheikhu of the same village and Muskan wife of Madan of the same village. 

Four booked for assaulting villager

Nakodar: The Nakodar Sadar police have booked four persons on the charge of assaulting a villager.

Investigating officer Surinder Singh said that the accused have been identified as Kapil Dev and Gaurav Gupta resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura Nakodar and their two unidentified accomplices.
