Two drug peddlers arrested with 2.5 kg opium,1 quintal poppy husk

JALANDHAR   The Maqsudan police on Wednesday arrested two drug  smugglers and recovered from them huge quantity of opium and poppy husk.

Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP)Navjot Singh Mahal told media persons that the accused have been identified as Kamaldeep Singh a resident of Hari Pur village in Hoshiar Pur and Rohit Kumar a resident of Hazaribagh in Jharkhand state.SSP said that 2.5 kilograms opium and 1quintal poppy husk was recovered from their possession .A scooter (PB-07-AZ-6761)belonging to them  was impounded.

A case under sections of the NDPS act has been registered against the accused.
