Staff crunch affects PSPCL functioning in Nakodar sub urban division

NAKODAR

 The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PCPCL) Nakodar sub urban division is facing an acute shortage of staff, which is hampering the routine functioning. There are sanctioned 758 posts of employees in the division out of which590 posts are lying vacant and work force has been reduced to only 22 percent. 
 Of the six sanctioned pots of sub divisional officers two are 
 lying vacant.

There are 38 posts of junior engineers in the division of which 26 are vacant. Of 200 posts of linemen and 329 posts of assistant linemen 143 and 271 are lying vacant respectively. There are 19 posts of cashiers in the division of which  are laying vacant .Of 26 posts of Upper division clerks and 32 posts of lower division clerks 17 and23 are lying vacant respectively. Additional Superintendent Engineer Sukhwindar   Singh said due to shortage of linemen and assistant linemen complaints redressed have taken a hit.
