New building became a necessity of time as school was facing shortage of class rooms after demolition of condemned building in 2012.  Non Residents Indians (NRI’s) and the state government jointly made efforts to start the construction of new building for which nagar council had donated 14 kanals and 17 marlas land to education department.NRI Raj Nayyar had donated Rs 10 lakh for the construction of school building

The director general of school education (DGSE) had released Rs1.14 crore for construction of the building in October 2013, following directions from the Punjab State Human Rights Commission.

School principal Reena Sharma said Rs 57 lakh were  received in 2013 which was deposited in the accounts of public works department as it is agency to construct government building above Rs 50 lakhs .

Executive engineer Balbir Singh had said in 2016 that the two story building will be completed within six months. He had said that the department has obtained bearing capacity certificate of land from Guru Nanak Engineering College Ludhiana as construction site was  a pond. He said that Jalandhar deputy commissioner had informed that he had received Rs 1.50 crore for the construction announced by chief minster during his Sangat Darshan here.

When contacted Balbir Singh said on Sunday  that fifty percent construction work has been completed and the finance  department has not released remaining  grant as a result work came to stand still .
