Travel agent couple booked for duping Nakodar village resident of Rs 8 Lakhs

NAKODAR

 The Nakodar sadar   police have booked a travel agent  couple  for allegedly duping a Nakodar village  resident of Rs.8 lakhs  on the pretext of sending him abroad.

Investigating officer(IO) Paramjit  Singh  said that the accused have been identified as Jaspal Singh alias  Munna Pardhan son of Surjit Singh   a resident of Mehtab Garh near Topkhana school, Kapurthala  his wife Neesha  .

Investigating officer said that Anil Kumar a resident of Chuharr village complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police (ssp) that he paid Rs 8 lakhs  to the accused for facilitating his migration to Canada but he was not sent abrosd nor returned the money.

 IO said that a case under sections 406 (breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and  120-B(criminal conspiracy)of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)  has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
