NAKODAR

The Nakodar-Mallian Kalan stretch of Nakodar Kapurthala road in a bad condition.  Deep potholes at many places make it difficult to ply for residents. The road connects to different villages and leads to government offices in sub-divisional headquarter and judicial court complex. “Accidents have become frequent on this road due to potholes, said residents. It is difficult to commute during odd hours, said a resident. “If the government cannot repair important roads it should stop collecting road tax,” said Tut Kalan resident Harbans Singh. Advocate V.S,Khehra said that it is difficult to drive on this road adding that one kilometer stretch outside Sherpur village has disappeared making it dangerous to commute. The condition of the road ridicules claims of the Congress regime regarding development and world-class roads, said social activist Arwindar Singh.
