Chief Secretary inaugurates capacity building workshop

MOHALI:  To efficiently deliver social and economic benefits to all its citizens, Punjab government today organised 2-days Training workshop for its officers at Indian School of Business, Mohali. The workshop on developing capacity building within Punjab Government Departments to apply behavioural insights to state priorities was organised by the Planning Department of Punjab.

          Inaugurating the event, The Punjab Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh said that agriculture, health, Law and Order etc. are main priority areas for the state and the training programme can play a pivotal role to change the behaviour towards social responsibilities and also be helpful to implement public welfare schemes more effectively. During the workshop, experts would address various sessions.

           Prominent among others presented in the workshop included Principal Secretary Planning  Jaspal Singh, Special Secretary Planning Mr Daljit Singh Mangat, Director Planning Sumit Chopra and Centre for Experimental Social Sciences of Nuffield College, Oxford- Flame University, Lavale Campus Pune Co-Director Pavan Mamidi.
