Unidentified vehicle driver booked for death by negligence

 BILGA: The Bilga police have booked an unidentified vehicle driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.

Gurdeep Singh a resident of Mohalla Kotla Nurmahal complained to the police that his brother Sandeep Singh was returning home on his motorcycle (PB-08-DQ-4605) with his two friends on June 9 when an unidentified SUV (PB-10-EA-4366) hit his bike negligently near Sham Pur village on the Nurmahal -Phillaur road and killed Sandeep Singh.   

 Investigating Officer Harjindar  Singh said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving on a public road)337,338(causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against unidentified vehicle driver.

The Lohian Khas police also booked Gurmej Singh a resident of Piply village for rash driving said investigating officer Mandeep Singh.
