Two unidentified booked for snatching Rs 2.50 lakhs

NAKODAR

 The Nakodar city police have booked two unidentified persons on charges of snatching cash.

Rakesh Kumar a resident of Mohalla Tandon here complained  to the police that he along with colleagueAbhinandan Sharma a resident of Mohalla Guga Sain were going to deposit money in Baroda bank from Khusi scanning on Monday morning .He said that when they reached near Manne Di Hatti, Guru Teg Bahadar Nagar, two unidentified masked motor cycle borne accused attacked Abhinandan with a sharp edged weapon from behind and they fell down from bike and the accused snatched their bag which contained about Rs 2.50 lakhs and fled away.

Investigating Officer Surjit Singh said that a case under sections 379-B (snatching)and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the ipc has been registered against unidentified accused and further investigations are on.
