Two arrested for snatching

NAKODAR

The Mehat Pur police have arrested two persons of the charge of

snatching .

Investigating officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused have been identified as Gurwindar Singh alias Suraj son of Surindar Singh a resident of Angakirri village and Rajvir Singh alias Raja son of Jaswant Singh a resident of Raulli village.

Kanchan Kumari wife of Darshan Singh a resident of Birr Baloki village complained to the police that she is government employees and is working in the officer of branch post master Sangowal village.

She said that on June 13 she was distributing post in Sangowal colonies on her scooter when two motor cycle borne accused tried to snatch gold ring from her hand and she raised an alarm and the accused fled  away and were identified by her family later on.

IO said a case under sections 379-B(snatching) and 511(Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
