Chaudhary Santokh Singh takes Oath as MP in Lok Sabha

JALANDHAR:  Chaudhary Santokh Singh, who is re-elected as Member of Parliament (MP) from Jalandhar parliamentary constituency today took oath as new MP in Lok Sabha.

 Chaudhary, who is the second time MP from Jalandhar preferred to take oath in his mother-tongue Punjabi, in the presence of the entire house comprising all new elected MPs and Union Ministers.

 Chaudhary had defeated SAD candidate Charanjit Singh Atwal to pave way for his second stint in Parliament.

 Later on, Chaudhary along with other seven MPs from Punjab met Congress National President Rahul Gandhi and had a photo session in front of Parliament.
