Husband arrested for assaulting wife

The Bilga police have arrested a man on the charges of assaulting his wife and criminal intimidation.

Investigating officer(IO) Rajindar Kumar said that the accused has been identified as Shingara Singh a resident of Kadian village.

Dhiraj Kaur complained to the police that her husband often beat her and children and on June 23 night Shingara Singh came to house in inebriated contrition and attacked her with an iron road and seriously injured her .She said that the accused threw her and her children out of house and threatened to kill them. She said that earlier two compromise were signed between her and Shingara Singh but of no avail as the accused continued to beat her and children .

IO said that a case under sections 324,324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) and 506( criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
