Father, sons trio booked for attempt to murder

NURMAHAL: The Nurmahal police have booked father-sons trio on the charge of attempt to murder.

Investigating officer(IO) Jagtar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Hardeep Singh a resident of Cheema Khurd village and his two sons Kulwindar Singh and Jaswant Singh.

Jagdeep Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and seriously injured him on June 23 morning and threatened him with dire consequences. He said that turn of water from a common watercourse was the reason for the attack.

IO said that a case under section 323,325(voluntarily causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons),307(attempt to murder) 506(criminal intimidation) and 34(committing a crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the accused.
