Kabaddi Tourneys dedicated to 550th Birth celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev Ji to be held from July 15 to 20

July 15-16 Tourneys at Sardulgarh, July 17-18 Tourneys at Budhlada and July 19-20 Tourneys to be held at Mansa subdivision

MANSA: The sports department will be holding tournaments dedicated to 550th birth celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev Ji from July 15 to July 20 under Mission Tandarust Punjab for the session 2019-20 at the subdivision level. From July 15 to July 20, kabaddi (national style) boys/girls under 14, 18 and 25 tournaments are being held.

Giving this information here today the District Sports Officer Mr Harpinder Singh stated that on July 15 -16 the tournaments will be held at Government Senior Secondary School for boys Sardulgarh for Sardulgarh subdivision. Similarly, from July 17 to July 18 the Budhlada subdivision tournaments will be held at Guru Teg Bahadur Stadium Budhlada and Mansa subdivision tournaments will be held from July 19 to July 20 at Multipurpose Sports Stadium Mansa.

DSO Mr Harpinder Singh added that in under 14 category players of weight 48 kg to 50 kg, in under 18 category players of weight 58 to 60 kg and in under 25 players of weight more than 85 kg boys and of weight more than 75 kg girls can participate.

He added that for the under 14 categories the player's date of birth should be 1-1-2006 or later, for under 18 category the player's date of birth should be 1-1-2002 or later and in under 25 category the player's date of birth should be 1-1-1995 or later. He stated that district's all villages, clubs, youth clubs and academies can take part in these tournaments. Players should bring along their Aadhar cards, date of birth proof and residence proof. The players should belong to Mansa and the respective sub divisions where they are participating from.
