Vajra veer vatika showcasing saga of sikh valour inaugurated

          Lieutenant General Arvind Dutta, General Officer Commanding Vajra Corps, alongwith Mrs Simmi Dutta, Zonal President AWWA inaugurated the Vajra Veer Vatika and integrated motivational and recreational complex aimed to motivate youth and also as a welfare measure to enhance recreational facilities for troops and families in Jalandhar Military Station. Many veterans, NCC cadets and school children were also present during the event.

 

          The Corps Commander also inaugurated the upgraded Vajra Station Canteen (VSC), a shopping galleria, dedicated to Ex Servicemen and serving soldiers of Jalandhar Station.  VSC has undergone a major transformation to enhance the customer satisfaction.   Renovation included ergonomically designed halls, centralized air cooling system, smoke sensors, aesthetically designed cosmetic and luggage section and other state of art facilities for customers.  VSC handles a clientele of approximately 15000 customers including about approx 13000 Ex Servicemen and strives to work for customer satisfaction and organizational effectiveness.

 

          The General also interacted with veterans of the station and said that Vajra Veer Vatika complex showcases the indomitable courage of Indian Army soldiers, saga of Sikh valour and victorious battles of Vajra Corps and its affiliated formations.  It also aims to bring enhanced awareness amongst the Punjab youth on their rich contribution on the operational front.  Same will indeed propel more volunteers to join the Armed Forces.  Mrs Simmi Dutta appreciated the facilities created for motivation and recreational pursuits, which she said, will go a long way towards welfare of all troops and families and enhance their happiness quotient.
