100 students recite Sanskrit Shlokas at Sri Aurobindo

CHANDIGARH: In the Inter-School Sanskrit Shloka recitation competition held at Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education around 100 students from different schools participated in the competition.

It was a group competition meant for classes IV to VIII in which DAV School, Sector 15 was adjudged the winner, while Gurukul World School Mohali and Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh were declared second and third respectively.

The flawless chanting of Sanskrit shlokas from scriptures like Bhagwad Gita and Ramayana left everyone spellbound which was adjudged by eminent Sanskrit Scholar and National Award winner Ram Diya Shastri, as well as another Sanskrit scholar Prashant Rao.

School Chairman Arvind Mehan and the Principal Garima S Bhardwaj lauded the efforts of all the participants and congratulated the winners who were awarded trophies and the certificates.
