Delegation of UK youth lauds Punjab government for CYR program to enable them to know motherland of their forefathers

JALANDHAR:
A delegation of youth from United Kingdom (UK) which is on visit to state under Punjab government’s ‘Connect to Your Roots (CYR) scheme today lauded Punjab Government for this visionary program which help them to connect with motherland of their forefathers.
 
The delegatation visited a Sports Good Manufacturer Savi International here today. 
 
 
 
The delegation members said that this visit was very fruitful as it was acting as a platform for them to further cement their ties with the society, religion and culture of the state. 
 
 
They said that the visit had been highly memorable as apart from visiting the eminent Gurdwaras they have been able to make a direct connect with the land of their forefathers. 
 
 
 
Enthralled over the visit to historical places they said that this visit has taught a number of things to them, which were hitherto unknown to them.
 
The delegation also lauded the commendable efforts being made by the state government, led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, for their comfortable stay, boarding and lodging in different districts of the state. They said that above all the hospitality offered by the Punjabis in the state has the same warmth which they feel in every Punjabi settled in any part of the globe. 
 
They said that it was a memorable visit which has left an indelible imprint on their mind forever.
 
On the occasion, the delegation was also buoyed over their visit to the Sports Good Manufacturing unit during which they saw the entire process of designing, making and packaging the Rugby balls / Footballs. 
 
They appreciated the efforts being made by Punjabis to produce quality sports good across the globe. 
 
Director of the Savi International Mr. Mukul Verma apprised the delegation about their entire operations. He also informed the delegation about the various sports good produced in the district, which were highly acclaimed across the world.
 

 

They were welcomed by officers from district administration.
