Four drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act

NAKODAR / BILGA   The Nakodar city police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.

Investigating Officers (IO’s)Jit Singh  and Jai Pal  said that140 intoxicant tablets were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Jinna son of Satpal and Vicky  son of Nirmal residents of Malarri village.   

IO’s said that cases under sections22/61/85 of the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused.

The Bilga police also arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling poppy husk and intoxicant tablets.

Investigating Officers (IO’s) Som Nath and Nirmal Singh    said that 2.5 kilograms poppy husk and 45 intoxicant tablets were      recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Major Singh son of Mahel   Singh a resident of Nawan Khehara village in Phillaur and Buta Singh alias Pepsi son of Khanda Singh a resident of Bhode village.
