Tript Bajwa donates one month salary to CM Relief Fund to help flood affected people

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Rural Development and Panchayts Minister Tript Bajwa on Saturday donated his one month salary into the CM Relief Fund for the assistance of flood affected victims.

Disclosing this here today, his media advisor Gurdarshan Singh Bahia said that the Minister took this decision after after touring the flood affected regions of Jalandhar and Kapurthala districts.

   

Bahia further disclosed that as per the directions of the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the Minister today along with chairman of Punjab Power Corporation Limited Shri Baldev Singh Sran and other senior officers also reviewed the work of restoration of electricity lines in the flood affected regions at the earliest.

On the occasion, the Minister also held a meeting with higher officials of Animal Husbandry department to  review the progress of providing medicines and fodder for the cattle stranded in flood waters.
