Designer Sidharth interacts with CT Fashion Design students

Jalandhar: An interactive guest session was being organised by the Department of Fashion Design, CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus.

Ace Designer Sidharth K Kakkar interacted with the students and provided a vital overview of the fashion industry and what it takes to be a successful designer.

Students were guided towards identifying their own style and were encouraged to work on developing their thought process with unique individualities that could lead to successful design developments in every work they produce.

Kakkar told the budding designers to refrain from replicating any existing work and rather identify and execute what reflects their own design philosophy and style.

He emphasized on the need of thorough research in any task that the students are performing. Significant and impactful suggestions were given to students for improvising their personality as a designer holistically and were addressed as “Young Designers” throughout the interaction. 

  

Student queries related to career aspects, future prospects in the current fashion industry were also addressed.

Head of Department Ankita Kataria said “Such valuable initiatives of academia-industry connect will help curate a new enthusiasm amongst the budding designers and will surely inspire them to aim for a successful career in near future”

Managing Director Manbir Singh appreciated the efforts of the department for organizing this practical oriented session for the budding designers.
