Senoir Administrative Officers Also Put on Job to Make Job Fest A Grand Success

 NAWANSHAHR: District Administration Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar has invited renowned companies to provide jobs under ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission’ of State government during the scheduled Mega Job Fest of September 19 at ITI Nawanshahr.

Divulging the details, after having a meeting with the organizing committee especially formed to complete the arrangements of 5th phase job fest, today here, deputy commissioner Vinay Bublani said that district has slated two mega job fest, one at local ITI on September 19 while another at Rayat Campus Railmajra on September 25.

He said that we have a target of 7000 jobs and self-employment vacancies. To achieve the set target, a series of meetings with various departments and employers for the past one month have been conducted by him, ADC (G) Anupam Kler and District Employment Officer Rupinder Kaur.

A special help counter would be set up for PWD (persons with disability) job seekers besides deputing District Social Security Officer as InCharge with number of volunteers and wheel chairs, added deputy commissioner, Vinay Bublani.  

Besides, to make aware the unemployed youth of the job fests, large scale publicity has been done with the help of print media, electronic media and social media. Apart from that, career and guidance seminars have been conducted at various educational institutions so far.

He said that as many as 40 employers have given assurance to participate on September 19 at Nawanshahr. As many as 11 organizing committees have been pressed into job to make all the necessary arrangements for the employers and job seekers, he added. Even senior functionaries of the district administration like SDM, Assistant Commissioner and District Revenue Officers have been assigned with special task to make the job fest smooth and successful. Arrangements of help and guidance counters, lunch, sitting arrangements, medical teams, parking and security were finalized in today’s meeting, he further added.

Others who attended the meeting included, SDM Nawanshahr Dr. Vineet Kumar, DRO Vipin Bhandari, Naib Tehsildar Kulwant Singh, DPO Manjit Kaur and EO Nawanshahr Jagjit Singh Judge.
