Unidentified vehicle driver booked for death by negligence

NAKODAR The Nakodar city police have booked an unidentified vehicle driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.

Subash Chandar a resident of ward no.6 Feroze Pur complained to the police that his son Aman Kumar (23) was employed in Pepsu Road Transport Corporation Kapurthala as a conductor and was on duty on Kapurthala –Nakodar route and on September 17 evening he was helping passengers who were de-boarding from bus near Kapurthala by-pass when an unidentified pick- up van from Malsian side hit Aman and seriously injured him who succumbed to his injuries in a Jalandhar clinic.

    Investigating Officer Buta Ram said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving on public road) of the ipc has been registered against unidentified vehicle driver.
