Villager arrested for killing co-villager

NAKODAR The Mehat Pur police have arrested a villager on the charge of killing co-villager.

Investigating Officer (IO) Nirmahal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Satwant Singh alias Gora son of Buta Ram a resident of Khehra Mushatarka village.

Rannjit Singh a resident of the same village had complained to the police that the accused killed his son Jagjit Singh (28) on September 16.

IO said that a case under section 302(murder) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused but section 302 has been removed and section 304(punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) has been added in the First Information Report.
