2210 youth get jobs during second job fair at Government ITI Nakdoar

Ghar-Ghar Rozgar scheme acting as catalyst in making youth active partners in socio-economic growth of state-ADC development

 JALANDHAR:- The second job fair organised under the Punjab government's Ghar Ghar Rozgar campaign proved to be boon for 2210 youth, who got jobs during the job fair organised at the Government ITI Nakodar on Saturday.

 

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr Kulwant Singh along with SDM Nakodar Mr Amit Kumar inaugurated the job fair.  

 

During the job fair, 3091 applicants had applied for the jobs. Out of these 2210 applicants were offered jobs whereas 111 more youth were shortlisted for the jobs by the 34 companies. 

 

Meanwhile, interacting with the youths, Additional Deputy Commissioner said that it was a win-win situation for both the employees and employers.

 

He said that under this unique initiative of the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh a common platform has been provided to job seekers and job givers. 

 

Singh said that job seekers could get the job of their choice and job givers could choose the candidates as per their requirements and capabilities.

 

ADC also told that it was a historic day for the youths as they were going to start a new inning in their lives. He told that it was just a beginning the marvellous success story which all of them were going to script in the future.

 

Exhorting the students to avail maximum benefits of the job fairs, Additional Commissioner said that third mega job fair would be organized at the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology on September 24.

 

He said that the interested students could apply for the jobs by registering themselves with the District Bureau of Employment generation or logging in to www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in.

 

On the occasion Deputy Director Employment Generation and Training Sunita Kalyan, Deepak Bhalla, Mangesh Sood, Harmanpreet Singh and others were present.
