CTIHM organizes an Inter College Hospitality Fest Naivedyam-2019

24 teams from 10 colleges participate in fest at CT Group

CGC Landran lifts trophy of Naivedyam-2019

 JALANDHAR: CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM), Shahpur campus organized Naivedyam-2019- An Inter College Hospitality Fest where in a total of 24 teams from 10 different colleges/universities like Lovely Professional University, CGC Landran, GNA, Rana Cooking School, Khalsa College Amritsar and PCTE Ludhiana etc participated. The teams competed in five different events namely Mystery Meetha, Steward Salver Relay Race, Crisp the Crushed, Hunky Brains and Treasure Hunt.

In mystery meetha, 24 teams comprising of 48 students participated where in they were provided with the mystery ingredient out of which they crafted a dessert. The 1st prize was bagged by LPU, 2nd prize was bagged by GNA University and the 3rd prize was bagged by Rana Cooking School.

  

In Steward Salver Relay, 6 teams participated comprising of 24 students. Each team was given a fully loaded salver and was supposed to cover 400 meters where in after every 100 meter the salver was passed to other team mate. During the course, the student had to pass through the hurdles laid down in the path without any spillage. The 1st and 2nd positions of this event were bagged by CGC Landran and the 3rd prize was bagged by Khalsa College Amritsar. 

In Crisp the crushed, students were supposed to make a bed along with a towel art within a span of total 7 minutes. The 1st prize was bagged by GNA University, the 2nd prize was bagged by Kurukshetra University and 3rd prize was bagged by Lovely Professional University.

The Hunky Brains was based on Hospitality Quiz where in 7 teams comprising of 14 students took part. This event was won by CGC Landran, the 2nd prize was won by LPU and 3rd prize was won by CGC Landran

In Treasure Hunt, students were supposed to find out clues from the riddles provided to them within a time frame of 40 miutes. This first position was bagged by PCTE Ludhiana, the 2nd prize was won by CGC Landran and 3rd prize was won by LPU. CGC Landran bagged the overall trophy.

Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group and Dr. Bharat Kapoor, Director CTIHM congratulated all the winners and briefed students about how their participation contributed towards their professional development.
