District Magistrate issues prohibitory orders

JALANDHAR:- District Magistrate (DM) Varinder Kumar Sharma on Wednesday issued various prohibitory orders to maintain the law and order in the jurisdiction of Jalandhar rural. 

Exercising the powers vested under Section 144, Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, District Magistrate Varinder Kumar Sharma has ordered the installation of CCTV cameras in all fuel stations and banks and the CCTV operating system must have the recording of seven-days in it. 

The district magistrate has also banned the burning of garbage, waste or dry leaves in the open as the burning leads to the pollution which may result in the mishaps. 

Besides, the bursting of firecrackers on the national or state highways and opening gunfire in marriage places or hotels during wedding functions or private functions have been completely prohibited. 

He also told that violation of these orders will invite strict action against the owner and individuals who will be found indulging into celebratory firing.

These orders would remain in force till December 16, 2019.
