Mansa to host Punjab Games Women under 25 again in November, DC

Teams from all over Punjab to compete in various sports categories

 Mansa: District administration Mansa will be holding the Punjab Games Women under 25 category in the month of November. Mansa will be hosting these games for the second consecutive time. Earlier same games were held in the month of March.

Deputy Commissioner Mansa Apneet Riyait said while presiding over a meeting of the district officials convened today. During the meeting she assigned responsibilities to concerned officers and constituted committees for different kinds of works.

She said that various sports competitions will be held at different venues of earmarked in Mansa city. Apart from these arrangements are being made for the boarding and lodging of women players that will be participating in the event. Also special emphasis is being laid on providing security cover and medical facilities to the players.

Deputy Commissioner directed the organizing committees to work with complete diligence and dedication. Municipal council Mansa will look after cleaning of all venues, while the health department will provide round the clock medical assistance. Police will provide security cover, while the mandi board will make arrangements for drinking water. Sports department will be in-charge for all the sport matches and fixtures that will be conducted during the three days event. She added that students from various schools and colleges, sarpanches and panches, municipal councillors and others will the spectators at games.

ADC (General) Rajdeep Singh Brar, SDM Mansa Sarabjit Kaur, GA Navdeep Kumar, DDPO Dinesh Vashisht, District Sports Officer Harpinder Singh, District Program Officer Avinash Kaur Walia, DSP Gurmeet Singh, assistant director youth services Raghbir Singh Mann and others were also present.
