CT University to establish Guru Nanak Chair on October 23

Research to be carried on teachings of Guru Nanak

 Ludhiana: Marking the upcoming occasion of 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, CT University, under Sewa Sankalp Society, is all set to establish Guru Nanak chair at its campus. The chair will be inaugurated on October 23 by the Chief Guest Ravneet S Bittu, MP (Ludhiana) along with the presence of renowned poet Dr. Surjit Patar, former Advocate General Punjab Harpreet S Sandhu, Inspector General of Police Naunihal Singh, Chancellor Charanjit S Channi, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti and Managing Director Manbir Singh.

Giving details, Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Registrar CTU, said, “The event would start with reciting the Japji Sahib, by faculty, staff and students. The Sarpanches of nearby villages, people from various walks of life, educationists and the Members of Sewa Sankalp Society will grace the occasion.”

The eminent scholars and PhD students of University will conduct research on various topics like Religious Pluralism in Punjab, Famring Model of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Message through the poetry of Guru Nanak.

CTU Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi said, “The event is auspicious for every one of us as it will tend to promote righteousness by carrying out research on the philosophy and teachings of Guru Nanak”.
