Cabinet minister OP Soni to review implementation of government’s programs in Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Amritsar and Tarn Taran

JALANDHAR- Punjab Medical Education Minister Punjab Mr OP Soni would regularly review the implementation of several welfare schemes started by the state government in Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts.

A spokesperson of Punjab Government said that Cabinet Minister Mr OP Soni will be chairman of District Grievances Committees in Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts. He said that Mr Soni would ensure the benefits of welfare schemes reach to all needy persons in these districts.

The Spokesperson said that the Cabinet Minister would regularly evaluate the working of the officials in the several departments and agencies besides progress of programs belonging to Panchayati Raj institutions, local bodies, generation of additional income sources in departments, would connect NGOs and common public with government’s schemes and would monitor MGNREGA, E-Ration Card (Atta-Dal), Old-Aged pension, financial assistance to widows, orphans and Ashiward schemes.
