Helping needy right way to follow teachings of Baba Nanak: SSP

NAKODAR Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) Navjot Singh Mahal on Monday said that helping needy persons is right way to follow teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Addressing a  gatherings on the occasion of distribution of boots, sweaters and blankets to children and old age persons Mahal said that it is very good work on the eve of the 550th Pakash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev ji.

He lauded the role Nakodar assistant superintendent of police Ms Vatsala Gupta who conceived this idea and his team of three station house officers who implemented it.

Mahal said that he is feeling such a satisfaction which cannot be explained in words adding that we often forget guru’s teaching after paying obeisance in gurdwaras.

He asked others to follow Nakodar police sub division’s initiative in organising such function adding that he got invitation to participate on Monday morning. 

Ms.Vatsala Gupta, Nakodar city and sadar and Nurmahal police stations house officers Mohammad Jamil, SS Virk and HS Maan were present of the occasion.
