Binnu Dhillon shines in 13th Aryans Cultural Function "Rajni"

MOHALI: Renowned comedian & Actor Binnu Dhillon, Actress Sargun Mehta, Punjabi Singer Afsana Khan, Navjeet along with Kashmiri Artist Baabarr Mudacer enthralled over 5000 youth in the 13th Annual Cultural Extravaganza "Rajni" organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. 

 

The function commenced with the Lamp Lighting ceremony by Sh. Shiv Kumar, SDM, Rajpura; Gagandeep Singh Jolly, Member, Zila Parishad; DSP, Rajpura, S. Akashdeep Aulakh; S. Hernek Singh, Naib Tehsildar; S. Gurdeep Singh Untsar, Social Leader etc. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group was also presided over the function.

 

Students of Aryans College of Engineering, Aryans College of Law, Aryans Institute of Management & Technology, Aryans Institute of Nursing, Aryans College of Education, Aryans Business School, Aryans Degree College, Aryans College of Pharmacy etc participated in various colorful cultural items and mesmerized the whole crowd with their performances representing the states including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jammu Kashmir, North East etc.

 

Binnu Dhillon, Sargun Mehta performed on the tracks Jhalle, Pagalpan, Laat Wargi etc from their upcoming Punjabi movie “Jhalle” releasing on 15th November. Afsana Khan and Navjeet enthralled the audience on Jaani Ve Jaani, Rabb Jane, Miss you Enna Sara, Good Morning etc. Besides this Kashmiri Artist Baabarr Mudacer along with his band Mad Rockstars performed on Kashmiri songs Haa Gullo Cxol Ho Ma, Gah Choon, Zindagi Roushit etc.

 

Dr. Anshu Kataria while congratulating all the students said that Aryans Group has students from all across the Country who are studying in various courses & have set an example of “Unity in Diversity”. He added that besides studies, extra co-curricular activities are equally important. They help in the overall development of the students.

 

The cultural items started with the Ganesh Vandana performed by Deeksha, Preeti & Group; Himachali Naati by Chunni, Komal & Group; Himachali Dance by Ajay & Sakshi; Bhojpuri Dance by Dharmender, Deepak & Group; North East Group singing by Koranding, Dunjoy & Group; Skit by Rahul, Parneet Kaur & Group.  Solo performances like dance, singing, Islamic Qawali, Flute-playing, Rap etc also entertained the audience. Tiny tots of Aryans Public School also performed various cultural items.


The function concluded with the power pack performances by the Punjabi students. Bhangra by BA students Sarabjeet, Gurdeep & Group; Bhangra by Law students including Prabjot, Harsh & Group; Punjabi Dance by Vaishali, Rajdeep & Group enthralled the audience.

 

Dr. Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group; Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group; Dr. Raman Rani Gupta, Principal, Aryans Group; Steven Jawinda, Registrar etc were also present on the occasion.
