Cooperative bank assault issue; police registered daily dairy report

NAKODAR Nakodar city police have registered a daily diary report in connection with assault on a cooperative bank director.

Investigating officer (IO) Gurdial Singh said that Aman Mahju son of Rajan Kumar a resident of   Mohalla Jalotian in his complaint to city police said that he is elected director of Hindu Urban Cooperative Bank Limited Nakodar from zone no. 3.He said in his complaint that he came to know from reliable sources that bank chairman Hari Mittar Sondhi has planned to commit a fraud with the bank in the forth coming meeting of board of directors by remitting loan of one Hardip Singh son of Makhan Singh amounting to Rs 20 Lakhs .

Aman said in his complaint that he opposed this proposal that offer of bribe by chairman Sondhi and did not signed bank proceedings in this connection adding that Sondhi became angry and assaulted him and beat him with a stick .Aman said that chairman threatened to kill him and cancel his directorship .  

IO said that Bhartiya Janata Party president Baldev Singh Babu endorsed Aman’s complaint. He said that medical officer in his medico-legal report described all four injuries on Aman’s body as blunt and under observation and declared him fit to record his statement. IO said as per statement and medico report for the time being the crime comes under section 323(voluntarily causing hurt) and further action will be taken after receiving reports of injury marks. This report was registered on November 13 night.
