SHAHKOT /LOHIAN KHAS The Shahkot police have arrested three drug peddlers on the charge of selling poppy husk. Investigating Officer (IO) and Talwandi Sanghera police post in-charge Bhupindar Singh said that 40 kilograms poppy husk was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Bhagat Singh son of Gurmit Singh a resident of Jalandhar road ,Dharam Kot in Moga ,Pawandip son of Jagdev Singh a resident of Amiwal village in Moga and Sukhwindar Singh son of Amar Singh a resident of Pandori Arian village in Moga .IO said that poppy husk was loaded in a SUV (PB-02-AB-8089) which has been impounded .
IO said that a case under sections 15/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
The Lohian Khas police arrested a drug peddler Darshan Singh son of Amir Singh a resident of Mandar Kalan village in Moga with 5 kg poppy husk, said investigating officer Kulwindar Singh.
