Man, mother booked for assaulting wife

LOHIAN KHAS The Lohian Khas police has booked a man and his mother on the charge of assaulting his wife.

Investigating officer (IO) Avtar Lal said that the accused has been identified as Balwindar Lal a resident of Kakarr Kalan village and his mother Simaro .

Mandip Kaur wife of Balwindar Lal complained to the police that her husband beat her mercilessly on September 22 and locked her in a room and threatened her not to disclose this incident to anybody.

IO said that a medico-legal report was received on September 23 and a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt) 342(wrongful confinement) ,506(criminal intimidation )and 34(committing crime with common intention ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
