Captain government denying jobs to eligible candidates on flimsy basis: Principal Budh Ram

CHANDIGARH: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing Captain Amarinder Singh government of depriving a large number of  qualified young candidates of government jobs under a deep-rooted conspiracy, has demanded that the 55% marks condition imposed on the B.Ed, TET qualified candidates be immediately withdrawn.

In a joint statement issued from party  headquarters on Monday, party core committee chairman and MLA Principal Budh Ram and deputy leader of opposition, Bibi Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, said that while the eligibility for the IAS and PCS candidates was 50 percent, but, for the teachers, it was  55 percent, which was totally unfair, saying that these candidates had already proved their merit by passing the B.Ed and TET exams.

Principal Buddha Ram said that the condition earlier 45% for SC candidates and 50% for the general category candidates, which had now been raised to 55%, alleging it was a deep-rooted conspiracy to deprive a large number of eligible candidates of government jobs.

Bibi Sarabjit Kaur Manuke said that if the Captain government failed to remove this condition immediately to live his poll promise of ‘ghar-ghar naukri’, the AAP would do away with these quirky conditions in 2022, if the people reposed trust in it. We would also allow relaxation in age bar to over-age candidates, who were subjected to suffer due to wrong policies of the successive governments.
