Three of family booked for assaulting panchayat, criminal trespass

NAKODAR The Nakodar sadar police have booked three members of a family on the charges of assaulting panchayat and attempt to encroach panchayat land.

Investigating officer(IO) and Uggi police post in-charge Paramjit Singh said that the accused have been as Charanjit Singh son of Santokh Singh a resident of Uggi village and his two brothers Surindar Singh and Mauri.

Jawahar Lal sarpanch and Uggi panchayat complained to the police that the accused encroached panchayat land by installing a kiosks on November 5 and when panchayat   objected the accused attacked members and used filthy and abusive language to panchayat.

IO said case under sections323 (voluntarily causing hurt) 447(criminal trespass) 511(Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.

IO said that a cross case has been registered in this connection and booked six persons belonging to first party on the charges of voluntary causing hurt with dangerous weapons and rioting.
