Ten booked for snatching cash from shop keeper

NAKODAR  The Mehat Pur police have booked ten persons on the charge of snatching cash from a shop keeper after assaulting him.

Investigating officer(IO) Sukhdev Singh said that the accused have been identified as Pardip Singh ,Joga Singh residents of Akbar Pur Kalan village in Shahkot,Amana,Jatindar,Bhal and Pamma resident of Dharmiwal village in Shahkot and their four unidentified accomplices.

Sajjan Arora a resident of Akbar Pur Kalan village in Shahkot complained to the police that he is running a vegetable shop and  the accused attacked him on December 5 beat  and snatched Rs 35000 from him and fled away.

 

IO said that a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt) 341(wrongful restraint) and 379-B (snatching) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
