Faridkot: On Late Monday evening, the details of the dialogue between the government representatives and Bharti Kisan Union emerged that the government has agreed to form a three member committee to look into the FIRs registered against the stubble burners and would submit a report to the government opining that what could be done in this regarding as per existing law.

The opinion by the commitre would be further submitted to the Apex court by the government as well.

Besides it, the family of the farmer Jagser Singh, who allegedly committed suicide on Saturday, would get all benefits as per the existing policy of the government.

“We have held a meeting with the Kisan Union representatives who are demanding the cancellation of FIRs against farmers besides the Environmental compensation fines. But the matter is sub judice. However, the government has agreed to form a three member committee including a retired judge, farmers union activist and other official to look in to the issue to know what could be done in this regarding. The committee would submit the onion to the government in one month and the government would, in turn, also submit this onion in the Apex court as it were the Apex court guidelines to stop stubble burning,” said Kusaldeep Singh Dhillon, Faridkot MLA and political advisor to the chief minister Punjab.

Commenting on the alleged suicide of the farmer on the protest site, he added,” it was very unfortunate incident. The farmers’ family would be covered against loan waiver as per the existing policies of the government. Preferablely, his family member would be accommodated in government job but it is as per the policy of the government. No promise has been made to the family in this regarding, however, it depends upon the adjustments if possible on priority basis,” said Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, speaking to the Punjab Tribune.

Kusaldeep Singh Dhillon has been emerged as a key player to hold the meeting with the month long protesters and government.
