JALANDHAR: Amidst demands for change in the announced candidates from several assembly segments, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) State Convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich has ruled out any more change in the candidate.

AAP has no plan to replace any more candidates. The party has already replaced four candidates and changed the constituency of Himmat Singh Shergill, who has been shifted to Majitha from Mohali”, Waraich said.

“ We have changed only those candidates whose election campaign was not picking-up” Waraich said adding that internal surveys of AAP were complete and the party had found that most of the candidates were doing well.

The party has so far announced more than 100 candidates. Earlier, national convener Arvind Kejriwal had told the candidates that their entire focus should be on their campaign.

He told them that those found weak at any stage would be replaced.

In each constituency, the party has deployed observers who are sending report to the leadership on a day-to-day basis.

It is learnt that AAP has kept all the announced candidates on their toes and in spite of imparting them training, schedule of campaign of each candidate is being set by the AAP Core member, sitting at Chandigarh.  Every candidate is required on-line submission of their daily working to the Core members.
