Woman among three arrested for selling illicit liquor

LOHIAN KHAS /NAKODAR /BILGA The Lohian Khas police have arrested a woman on the charge of selling illicit liquor.

Investigating Officer Major Singh said that 8 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Amarjit Kaur alias Amro wife of Gurnam Singh   a resident of Ismail Pur village.

A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.

The Nakodar city police arrested Buta a resident of Mohalla Gouns with 40 bottles of hooch, said investigating officer Bhajan Lal.

The Bilga police arrested Rannjit Singh a resident of Bhode village with 5 bottles of hooch and 120 litters Lahann(raw liquor) said investigating officer Mohan Lal.
