Secretary RTA distributes pamphlets on road safety

 Drive held road safety week started on Jan 11

 JALANDHAR- As part of the drive to sensitize the commuters on the road safety, the Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Dr Nayan Jassal today distributed the pamphlets among the commuters and made them aware of traffic rules, at BMC Chowk on Tuesday.


In today's drive, she also affixed the stickers on road safety on vehicles.During the campaign, Secretary RTA apprised the drivers of auto-rickshaws, two-wheelers and four-wheelers and others about the traffic norms with a purpose to put a check on the road accidents.
She said that the following of the traffic rules could help to control the road mishaps and save human lives.

She asked the people to obey traffic rules, signboards, speed limit, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol; drugs and others besides told them to ensure proper maintenance of vehicles regularly.
Meanwhile, a pollution check camp was also organized in the office of Regional Transport Authority near the bus stand. The camp also aimed at making vehicle owners aware of the importance of safe vehicles and a clean environment.
