District level approval committee clears two investment proposals worth Rs 4.83 crores for Jalandhar under business first portal

 Jalandhar- Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma today cleared two investment projects worth crores in Adampur and Kartarpur towns in Jalandhar. 

 

The proposals for setting up Business were received in district applied Business first portal.

 

Chairing a meeting of District Level Approval Committee of the Business First Portal here at his office in District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner said that proposal of Bombay Resorts and Picnic Spot of Rs. 2.55 crore in Dyalpur was received and the second proposal naming 'The Pavilion', hotel in Arjanwal of Rs 2.28 crore was received on the portal which have been cleared in the committee.

 

Sharma asked all the concerned the departments to ensure timely clearances for all projects submitted for the perusal of the committee. 

 

He said that it was need of the hour to give a push to industrial growth in the district thereby opening new vistas of jobs for the youth. Sharma said that any sort of inordinate delay in this matter was unwarranted and undesirable. 

 

The Deputy Commissioner said that online Portal was launched to facilitate the industrialists for Regulatory Clearances and Fiscal Approvals, real-time tracking of applications at a common platform.

 

 He said that under the visionary and dynamic the leadership of chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh the Punjab government has decided to accelerate economic growth by providing liberal incentives to the entrepreneurs under new Industrial Policy, which were being implemented through the portal. 

 

Sharma said that the new portal was one step solution for industrialists as   Regulatory clearances of all other departments were through the portal. 

 

Describing the industry as the backbone of the state’s economy, the Deputy Commissioner said that every problem of industrialists would be resolved on top priority. He said that the state government was committed for ensuring holistic development of the industry in the state for which utmost priority was being accorded to it. 

 

 On the occasion General Manager Industries Bhola Singh Brar, Joint Deputy Director Local Government Paramjit Singh, DTP Naval Kishore Sharma, Lead Bank Manager PS Bhatia and others present.
