Three travel agents booked for duping Shahkot village resident of Rs 1.25 lakh

SHAHKOT  The Shahkot police have booked three travel agents for allegedly duping a Shahkot village   resident of Rs.1.25 lakh on the pretext of sending him abroad.

Investigating officer (IO) and Talwandi Sanghera police post in-charge Bhupindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sandip alias Baggo ,Kulwindar Singh alias Baba and Balkar Singh  residents of Khukhrainn  village in Kapurthala .

Investigating officer said that Gurdev Ram a resident of Akbar Pur Kalan  village complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) that he paid Rs 1.25 lakh   to the accused for facilitating his migration abroad  but he was not send abroad not returned the money.

 IO said that a case under section 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code   has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
