Car driver booked for death by negligence

NAKODAR The Nakodar city police on Monday  booked a car driver on the charges of causing death by negligence, rash driving on public road and mischief.

Investigating Officer (IO) Nachhatar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Jobanprit Singh a resident of Nawan Pind Talwandi Chaudharian in Kapurthala.

 

Sukhjindar Singh a resident of Nimajipur village in Shahkot said that the accused was driving his car negligently and hit his brother –in-law Kuldip Singh’s motor cycle on February 16 near Balhukmi village on the Nakodar –Malsian road and killed his sister Amarjit Kaur a resident of Guru Nanak Pura Nakodar and injured others.

 Investigating Officer said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) 337 and 338(act endangering life or personal safety of others) 279(rash driving on a public way) and 427(mischief) of the ipc has been registered against  Jobanprit  Singh.
