PSPCL employee electrocuted on duty, case registered

NAKODAR An employee of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) was electrocuted on Saturday attending a complaint.

The Investigating Officer (IO)  Indarjit Singh said that the deceased has been identified as Hardip Singh (40) a resident of Aalewali village.

Malkit Singh father of the deceased told the police that his son was working as a complaint attendant and was posted in the suburban division. He said that he received a phone call on March 28 afternoon that Hardip Singh came to attend a complaint at Barra Sidh Pur village and was working on a transformer when he was electrocuted and was rushed to Nakodar civil hospital where the doctors declared him as brought dead.

IO said that the police acting under section 174 of the cr.p.c. handed over the body to the family after post mortem.
