DC and SSP leads flag march in Nakodar Sub-Division

Ask people to beware of rumour mongers to follow the curfew norms

 JALANDHAR:- The Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Navjot Singh Mahal today led the flag march in the Nakodar sub-division and took the stock of the ground-level situation in the rural belt during the ongoing curfew.

The Deputy Commissioner and SSP along with other officers of the civil and Police administration led the flag march from Nakodar city to nearby villages and Shahkot road. During the flag march, the Deputy Commissioner and SSP also gave necessary directions to the officers for ensuring the proper implementation of curfew.

  

They said that every effort would be made to ensure the people remain inside their homes. They asked the Police officers and Executive Magistrates to keep a strict vigil over the entire situation and ensure strict action against the violators.

  

They also asked the Officers/ officials to ensure regular patrolling in all the vulnerable areas.

Likewise, they also asked the officers to meticulously prepare a plan for ensuring the security of the town. They said that no stone was being left unturned for effective enforcement of the curfew in the larger public interest.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner and SSP also inspected the working of drone cameras in Nakodar which has been deployed to keep a vigil on the violators.

Prominent among present occasion include Chairman Punjab Water Resources Management Corporation Jagbir Singh Brar, SDM Nakodar Amit Kumar Panchal, ASP Ms Vatsala Gupta, DSP Sarbjeet Rai and others were present.
